Posted: July 27, 2011

New Jersey's dean of statehouse reporters is returning to TV. Michael Aron, who served as news director at New Jersey Network before it was turned over July 1 to WNET-TV in New York, has been named chief political correspondent for the new station, NJTV.

Two long-running public-affairs television series he hosted on NJN, On the Record and Reporters Roundtable, also will return, WNET said. At the same time, Aron will contribute statehouse coverage to the NJTV-produced nightly broadcast NJ Today when it premieres in the fall. - AP
