2 injured as minivan, SEPTA bus collide in Overbrook

The driver of a minivan was injured when the vehicle collided with a SEPTA bus early this morning in Philadelphia's Overbrook section.

The driver, whose name was unavailable, had to be cut from the car and taken to Lankenau Medical Center and treated for a broken leg.

A passenger on the bus was also taken to Lankenau, but was not said to be suffering life-threatening injuries.

Heather Redfern, a SEPTA spokeswoman, said the crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. Friday at Landsdowne Avenue and Haverford Street, near Cobbs Creek Park.

Redfern said details of the accident were still being gathered, but that it appeared that the minivan struck the bus at the intersection. It was also not known how many passengers were on the bus at the time.
