Man critical after Mayfair shooting

A 34-year-old man was shot early Saturday during an argument inside a Mayfair home, police said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting around 1:25 a.m. and found the victim lying on the ground outside at 6300 Frankford Avenue. He had been shot in the left thigh and the lower back, police said.

Witnesses told police the man was shot inside a home on the 3100 block of Levick Street by man in a green T-shirt and blue jeans who then fled westbound on Levick and southbound on Hawthorne Street.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was hospitalized in critical condition at Aria Hospital's Torresdale division.    - Maria Panaritis
