This morning, police released the identity of a man fatally shot in the chest Monday evening in West Philadelphia.
It soon turned out that the victim, Corey White, 22, had been the target of a plot on Facebook.
White was shot outdoors about 7:45 p.m. in the 5100 block of Hadfield Street, a couple of blocks from where he lived, in the 5100 block of Webster Street.
He was pronounced dead at 8:21 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
