IF THERE is one thing Andy Reid likes, it is sticking to a plan. And the Eagles' plan when training camp started was to practice through today, hold a walkthrough-like "mock game" tomorrow, then say goodbye to Lehigh for another year.
So it was more than mildly surprising after yesterday morning's practice, when the Eagles announced that today's morning practice would be the last at Lehigh, that the team would then break camp and take the day off tomorrow, before traveling to Pittsburgh for Thursday's preseason encounter. Camp resumes at NovaCare this weekend.
"We made the bossman happy," corner Asante Samuel observed. "Hard work pays off. He likes the way we've been working out there, competing and executing the things the coaches have been putting in."
