On Monday, inflammatory sports-yakker Howard Eskin announced he was giving up his daily radio gig at WIP.

Today, Burger King is expected to announce big advertising changes, including the "dethroning the creepy King character," according to USA Today.

Coincidence?

You decide.

Both have brown beards, and for years, people have commented on the physical resemblance.

Eskin's nickname: The King.

Both are known to hang around sporting events.

The Burger King once dumped Gatorade on an NFL coach in a commercial. Eskin often dumped on NFL stars Randall Cunningham and Terrell Owens.

Eskin loves to wear fur coats, and the Burger King also wears lots of overinflated attire.

You might argue that, hey, no one has accused Eskin of hanging outside people's bedroom windows with breakfast sandwiches. But doesn't that just confirm that no one can be in two places at once?

The Burger King did his creepy thing early, Eskin in afternoons.

Both were big on grilling, as one made burgers, while the other tried to make mincemeat of interview subjects.

The Burger King competed with Ronald McDonald. Eskin once competed with Jody McDonald, when he was with WPEN.

"There are no plans to bring the King back anytime soon," Alex Macedo, Burger King's senior marketing vice president, told USA Today.

WIP, on the other hand, has said Eskin will remain an active contributor, including doing commentary around Eagles broadcasts.

No conflict in scheduling there.
