Police renew call for help in finding club gunmen

Posted: August 23, 2011

Investigators have issued a new appeal for help in identifying the gunmen who wounded nine people May 22 outside the Felton Supper Club.

In an effort to find the thugs, police today rereleased a surveillance video of the shooting on the 4800 block of Rising Sun Avenue in the Feltonville section.

The video, taken by a camera at a nearby check cashing store, shows two shooters - whose faces are not clearly visible - standing in the intersection of Rising Sun Avenue and Louden Street, firing semiautomatic handguns into a large crowd outside the club.

The suspects are described as black males in their late teens or early twenties. Both are about 5-foot-9 with medium builds. One suspect was wearing a gray hoodie with jeans and the other was wearing a dark hoodie with white writing on it. The suspects may have been at a Rite Aid near the club shortly before the shooting, police have said.

The city has since revoked the club's license to operate, citing a history of violent incidents at the location.

Tipsters should call East Detectives at 215-686-3243.
