Sunday Phillies game moved to Saturday

The Phillies game on Sunday against the Florida Marlins has been moved up due to the threat of severe weather from Hurricane Irene. The game will be played as part of a day/night doubleheader on Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

All tickets for the Sunday game will be honored for entry into the Saturday day game, which begins at 1:05 p.m. The ShopRite Back-to-School Cliff Lee Gym Bag giveaway for fans 14 and under will also take place at the afternoon game. All gates, including Ashburn Alley, will open at 11:05 a.m. for the 1:05 p.m. game.

The regularly scheduled game on Saturday will still begin at 7:05 p.m. Fans holding tickets for Saturday should attend the 7:05 p.m. game. All gates, including Ashburn Alley, will open at 6:05 p.m. for the second game.

The Phillies starters are scheduled to be RHP Roy Halladay for the 1:05 p.m. game and LHP Cliff Lee for the 7:05 p.m. game.

Both the 1:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. games will be televised on PHL17, and the games will air on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT and the Phillies' Spanish Beisbol Network on WUBA 1480 AM.
