MUSIC Some of the balmiest of world music hails from Mali, where Vieux Farka Toure learned his craft at the feet of his singing/guitar-playing dad - the late, great Ali Farka Toure. Maybe you caught Vieux earlier this summer on one of the Dave Matthews Band Caravan dates? D.M. also surfaces on the guy's jamming, genre-spanning album ("The Secret") of melded Afro-blues, along with Derek Trucks, John Scofield and Ivan Neville. Here, Toure will play in paired down "power trio" form with Mamadou Sidibe on bass and multi-percussionist Tim Keiper. Japanese-style drumming crew Kyo Daiko opens the outdoor concert sponsored by the University City District and The Rotunda. 40th Street Field, 40th and Walnut streets, 6 p.m. tomorrow, free, 215-243-0555, www.universitycity.org. - Jonathan Takiff
