Thomas FitzSimons will not get the chance to improve on last season's 2-8 football record.
Because of a shortage of players, the Rams will not field a varsity squad in 2011, Public League chairman Robert Coleman and football commissioner Joe Stanley learned Wednesday.
FitzSimons, at 2601 W. Cumberland Ave., had only Public League games scheduled for this season, Stanley said. "They'll go down as 'no-contests,' per PIAA rules," he said.
