Mark well: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have not been conjoined in a "secret wedding," nor do they plan to be anytime soon, Jolie insists. What's more, there are no new Brangelina-bambinos on the way, by birth or adoption.

Jolie shares of her soul in the October Vanity Fair, telling the mag that she's nervous about how her first effort as writer-director will be received. Jolie's auteur-ian debut, the Bosnian war love story In the Land of Blood and Honey, is due Dec. 23.

How will being a director affect her work as an actor? "Brad thinks I'm going to be a nightmare," she says. "I had such a good experience he thinks I'm going to be impatient with directors, which I already am."

A '60s style statement?

Actress Daryl Hannah and a gaggle of nonfamous protesters were arrested Tuesday after refusing orders from the U.S. Park Police to move away from the sidewalk in front of the White House. The sit-in was protesting the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, which would run from Canada through six states in the Midwest and Southwest to refineries in Houston and Port Arthur, Texas.

The Li to the Lo to the Brown?

The blogosphere is in fever! Lindsay Lohan and Chris Brown have been flirting on Twitter, Gawker reveals. LiLo, an Olympic gold medalist in substance abuse, tweeted that Chris "killed it" at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday. Chris, who pleaded guilty in '09 to assaulting ex-gf Rihanna, batted his eyelashes by retweeting LiLo's tweet. LiLo's response: "Wanna meet?" Talk about a recipe for disaster.

Rachael Ray takes Philly

Rachael Ray and crew on Tuesday took over the South Philly crossroads of Passyunk Avenue and Wharton Street, site of a newly constructed community garden behind Pat's Steaks, to shoot a grill-themed episode of her talk show.

Results of a grilling contest featuring Douglas Feldman of Williamstown, Sarah Gulish of Philly, and Stephanie Dumpson of New Castle, Del., are secret till late September, when the episode, featuring performances by Patti LaBelle and Boyz II Men, airs.

Roxborough chef on TV

Also in the food game, Christopher Thames of Roxborough's Distinctive Fare Catering is basking in his win on the Aug. 16 episode of the Food Network competition show Chopped.

His entree had to contain sweet vermouth, leeks, French fingerling potatoes, and live diver scallops.

Dublin, Bucks County, native Matthew Petersen is a chef-testant on the Bravo series Top Chef Just Desserts (10 p.m. Wednesdays). Petersen, 32, executive pastry chef at CityZen and Sou'Wester at the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C., says: "There was never really a question that I'd be a pastry chef. My aunts and grandmother and mom were bakers."

Honor thy friend: Smoke him!

Tupac Shakur's old outfit, Outlawz, who recently regrouped, say in a vid posted on pop-cult site VladTV.com that they honored their fallen comrade in a way most religious: They rolled up his ashes in a cannabis joint and smoked it. "Yeah, it's definitely true," says Young Noble (Rufus Cooper III), confirming the rumors.

LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband, dancer-turned-chef Dean Sheremet, 30, has wed photographer Sarah Silver, 35. Dean has posted a video of the occasion on his blog (http://deansheremet.tumblr.com/).

The tabloids are abuzz with reports that Justin Timberlake and his ex-gf Jessica Biel had a bicycle outing Sunday in Toronto! Life & Style says they also had coffee together! Wedding bells! Wedding bells!!!!!

London's Daily Mail says superhero Ryan Reynolds rode a motorcycle to Sandra Bullock's Hollywood Hills house. He went in, and, and, and they spent time together. Wedding bells? The Mail says the pals are helping each other cope with their respective breakups, Sandra with biker Jesse James and Ryan with Scarlett Johansson (who'd look great on a Harley).

George Clooney, who recently broke up with beauty Elisabetta Canalis, also is abandoning pal Steven Soderbergh: The G has quit his role in SS' The Man From U.N.C.L.E., says Deadline.com. An Anonymous Source tells E! that G is worried that the stunts he'll be required to do in the spy pic will break his 50-year-old body.

'Bandstand' Bunny on TV

Darby's own Kathleen "Bunny" Gibson, 65, best known for her run as a dancer on American Bandstand, will have a guest spot on the Lifetime drama The Protector, about a divorced mom and LAPD cop played by Ally Walker. Bunny plays former Philly Showgirl Mindy Parsegian on the Sept. 12 episode. Peter Henry Schroeder plays her husband.

The 'DWTS'-anointed speak

The legal mind of her generation, Nancy Grace, is one of the lucky B-listers who'll glide on Dancing With the Stars. She says it's like a fairy tale.

"I feel like Cinderella that got invited to the ball. I don't know how to dance. I don't know what I'm going to wear," Grace tells People.

The show's first transgender contestant, Chaz Bono, says "doing this show is an opportunity for me to reach a larger, more mainstream audience with just a simple message of being transgender is OK."

Demi Moore tells Glamour mag that Twitter isn't just another annoying way people get to annoy the rest of us with inane messages.

No, it's the Messiah itself. "At its core, Twitter is about sharing," she says, "and I think that in life we never feel better or more energized than when we're giving to someone else."
