WE'RE ALL nostalgic for those days when getting out of bed before noon was blasphemous and having any kind of obligation on a Friday was unheard of, otherwise known as college. But the World Beer Pong Tournament exists to transport you back to those glory days when your highest purpose in life was to aim pingpong balls into keg cups.

This weekend, McFadden's will host Philly's qualifying matches, which involve 10 cups on a 9-foot table. Each team will play four preliminary games with the top half of the teams moving to a single-elimination tournament. But here's the catch: All games will be played with water - not beer - so players can stay in top form. The winning team will secure a two-night stay at the Golden Nugget Atlantic City and a berth in the World Pong Tour U.S. Open being held there Nov. 19-20. If more than 30 teams play, the second-place team will also get a spot at the big show, but no hotel room. To register for a qualifying match, go to worldpongtour.com or call 646-705-0100.

McFadden's, 461 N. 3rd St., 3:05 p.m. & 7:35 p.m., Sunday and Monday, $5-$15, 215-928-0630, mcfaddensphilly.com.
