Ferguson Classic. Host Clayton won the tournament title for the first time in the seventh annual event, 3-1, over Haddon Township. Maxie New had three goals in two games to take MVP honors.
Williamstown Tournament. Timber Creek won the tournament's title game, 2-1, over the host Braves on the strength of Olivia McEachern's two second-half goals. Chargers goalie Kate DeCaro made nine saves, allowing a goal by Jen Mellish.
Nonleague. Katie Johnston's goal in the second half proved to be decisive for Haddonfield in a 1-0 nonleague win over visiting Kingsway.
Kylie Kirk assisted Johnston, and goalie Kellie Riley made six saves.
Rancocas Valley rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit on second-half goals by Gina Triocci and Jess Brownell to beat host Hammonton, 2-1. Brownell scored a 20-yard unassisted goal that deflected off a defender with 20 minutes left.
Moorestown's defense, anchored by goalie Rebecca Schultz with 10 saves, dominated a 2-0 win over visiting Hunterdon Central. Frankie Angeleri accounted for both goals before intermission.
Cross-Country
Cherokee runners produced the fastest times of the day in both the boys' and girls' competition at the 16th annual Cherokee Challenge.
The Chiefs' Megan Lacy resumed her rivalry with Bishop Eustace's Holly Bischof by winning the girls' senior class race by a 3-second margin in 10 minutes, 54 seconds.
Cherokee's Shawn Wilson toured his home 3,200-meter course in 9:52, to post the fastest time among the four boys' varsity races and win the boys' junior class race.
Boys' Soccer
Eastern goalie Cory Brodkin made five saves in earning a 2-0 shutout against visiting Cherry Hill West in an Olympic Conference match.
Zev Fayer converted a penalty kick and Mike Grossman scored off an Erich Nagle assist for the Vikings.
