Six men were wounded during a shooting early yesterday in Chester, according to police. Cops who were called about 2:11 a.m. for reports of gunfire found two gunshot victims, one of whom was unconscious, police said. Those two victims were taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center, where four more shooting victims later turned up. Those additional men were all taken to the hospital by civilian drivers, according to police. The conditions of the victims, who range in age from 22 to 35, were not released as of last night. Police said that some of the victims claimed to have been in a parking lot at 9th and Kerlin streets when the gunfire began. 4 shot, 1 fatally, in Brewerytown

A quadruple shooting during a home invasion in the Brewerytown section of North Philly early yesterday left one man dead and three others in critical condition, police said.

The shooting erupted about 12:28 a.m. A 20-year-old man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. The other victims, all of whom remained in critical condition at Temple University Hospital yesterday, included a man in his 20s who was shot once in the face; a 27-year-old man who was shot twice in his back and once in his chest; and another 27-year-old man who was shot once in his back.

Sitting in car proves fatal

A man was shot to death while sitting in his car in North Philadelphia yesterday morning, police said. About 3:06 a.m., the 22-year-old man was shot five times in his torso while in his vehicle, police said. The victim, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:18 a.m.

Shot more than once in Frankford

A 24-year-old man remained in critical condition yesterday after being shot more than once in Frankford early Saturday. The man, whose identity was not released, was shot about 4:27 a.m., police said. He was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale hospital for treatment.

Avenue

A woman who remained unidentified last night was fatally shot in North Philadelphia early Saturday, according to police.

The victim was shot twice in the head about 3:29 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting in North Philadelphia yesterday afternoon. Police said a 23-year-old man was shot once in the chest and once in the right leg just after 3 p.m. He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead there shortly before 4 p.m.

A 27-year-old man died last night after being shot in the right side of the neck in West Philadelphia's Parkside section, police said. Police found the victim about 8 p.m. Medics rushed him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 8:25 p.m. He was the fourth man shot to death yesterday in Philadelphia.

Man fatally shot in Overbrook

* North Lindenwood and

Monticello streets

Homicide detectives were investigating a fatal shooting in Overbrook last night.

Police said a 36-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on North Lindenwood Street near Monticello about 8 last night. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was pronounced dead at 8:11.

Police had no additional information on a motive or suspects. He was the fifth man shot to death yesterday in the city.
