Bergholtz is new Camden Catholic coach

September 13, 2011

Former Germantown Friends School coach Rob Bergholtz has been named the new baseball coach at Camden Catholic, the school announced Monday. Bergholtz, a 1995 Camden Catholic graduate, was the coach at Germantown Friends for five years. His teams won four Friends League titles, and his 2010 squad featured pitcher Jesse Biddle, who was the Phillies' No. 1 draft pick.

Bergholtz replaces Bob Moffett, who resigned after 23 seasons as Camden Catholic's baseball coach.

"Mr. Bergholtz is a well-proven coach who had great success at Germantown," Camden Catholic athletic director Marlene Grimes said in a statement.
