Police are investigating the shooting death of a 50-year-old man in his North Philadelphia home Tuesday night.

Homicide detectives have not yet reported if they have established a possible motive in the killing of Donnie Young.

Young was shot multiple times on the first floor of his rowhouse on the 2500 block of North Gratz Street about 9:15 p.m., police said.

Medics took Young to Temple University Hospital, where he died at 10:49 p.m.

Police in the meantime say it appears the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man early Tuesday in South Philadelphia's Point Breeze section grew out of an argument.

Officers responding to a report of gunfire found Saleem Murray with a gunshot wound to the abdomen about 1:50 a.m. on the 1300 block of Mole Street, police said.

Murray, who lived on the 2100 block of Mifflin Street, died at 7:14 a.m. at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Police said witnesses reported seeing a black male in his 20s with no shirt and wearing black pants and white sneakers running from the scene.
