Ramadan Bayyan is a good defender.

He's a good midfielder.

He's a good striker, too.

The Cherry Hill West senior can play anywhere on the soccer field. His versatility is a big reason the Lions are a serious contender for the Olympic Patriot title as well as the South Jersey Group 4 crown.

Question: Do you take pride in your ability to play different positions?

Answer: I do. That's the thing that I'm probably best known for. I like the challenge of playing different positions.

Q: What do you like best about soccer?

A: Of all the sports I've played, it's the one where you are always doing something. You always have to be moving on the field. It's such a challenging game.

Q: Do you hope to play college soccer?

A: I will be playing college soccer.

Q: What schools are you considering?

A: Salisbury is the main one right now. Chestnut Hill is another one and Temple.

Q: Do you know what you'd like to study?

A: I have a lot of interest in psychology. I think I'd like to study Forensic Psychology.

Q: What kind of music do you listen to?

A: Mostly rap.

Q: Got a favorite artist right now?

A: Big Sean.

Q: Who would you say has been the most influential person in your life?

A: In my life, it's my mom (Karen Bayyan). In my athletic career, probably my high school coach Dan Butler.

Q: What's the best thing about Cherry Hill West soccer?

A: Just the way we play as a team. I've known all these kids a long time. We're a close team and Butler is a great coach.

Q: How far can West go this season?

A: We can go really far. If we play to our potential, we can be Top 5 in South Jersey.
