Tues. S.J. boys’ roundup: Gery lifts Wildwood Catholic

Jon Gery converted a penalty kick in overtime, giving him two goals in the match and making host Wildwood Catholic a 2-1 winner over St. Joseph on Tuesday in Cape-Atlantic League boys' soccer.

Colin Lang assisted on Gery's goal in the first half.

In another Cape-Atnatic clash, Mike Rothman had a hat trick and one assist and Mike Mazzochi contributed two goals and two assists, powering host Sacred Heart past Pleasantville, 10-0.

Sam Nichols made three saves in recording the shutout for the 5-0 Lions.

Tri-County. Jon Cosenza scored twice and set up a goal, as host Delsea picked up the pace in the second half to pull away from Cumberland, 4-1.

Eric Hermaqnn's first-half goal and shutout goaltending by Andrew McNellis (five saves) allowed host Williamstown to slip past Kingsway, 1-0, and extended the Braves' season-opening winning streak to four.

Clearview kept pace with Williamstown atop the Royal Division, thanks to a 3-0 victory over visiting Highland. Chris Grabert had a pair of assists for the Pioneers, with Zack Hickman, Kyle Milden and George Skibinski netted a goal apiece. Steve Keane (3 saves) shut out the Tartans.

Gloucester Catholic improved to 4-1, with Pat Kane and Jarrett Ligameri supplying the scoring and Eric Prasolowicz stopping six shots in a 2-1 triumph at Deptford.

Sebastian Leon scored twice and Sam Langlois recorded a goal and an assist in guiding Pitman to a 4-1 win at Gloucester.
