Thurs. S.J. girls’ roundup: Another shutout for Clearview

Clearview goalie Arianna Bua made nine saves as the host Pioneers posted their fourth consecutive shutout, 4-0, over Cumberland on Thursday in Tri-County Conference girls' soccer.

Lauren Rothstein had a goal and an assist to lead Clearview's balanced attack. Since dropping a 2-0 decision to Absegami in the season opener, the Pioneers have outscored the opposition, 18-0.

In other Tri-County action:

Nikki Adams and Eleni Dendrinos scored two goals apiece, with Kendall Bernardini contributing a pair of assists, as Schalick defeated host Clayton, 4-2.

Host Williamstown blanked Delsea, 3-0, with Gabrielle Masciocchia and Jen Mellish combining for three goals and one assist and Jessica Moy stopping five shots.

Pitman scored four times in the second half to pull away to a 7-2 win at Wildwood. Rebecca Williams led the Panthers with a hat trick and one assist.

Carly Scheeper's header late in the first half accounted for the winning goal, as GCIT held on for a 2-1 triumph at Deptford.

Kerry Burns and Gabby Campbell had two goals each for host Kingsway, which scored six times in the second half to put away Highland, 7-1.

Burlington County. Lauren Etter, who suited up as a goalie for the junior varsity the last two seasons, scored her first varsity goal as Delran seized control early and cruised to a 4-2 win at Willingboro in the Burlington County League.

Taylor Lewis had both goals for the Chimeras, including a penalty kick.

Maple Shade rode two goals by Allie Vallen to a 3-1 win at Burlington City.

 

Field Hockey

Tara Vittese had a hat trick and an assist, and Isabella Dolente stopped five shots to key fourth-ranked Camden Catholic's 6-0 victory over visiting Paul VI in the Olympic Conference.

Eagles goalie Meredith Stocklin was credited with 20 saves.

Colonial. Melissa Cunningham, Emily Madden, and Krystal Valianti scored to back the shutout goaltending of Allison Hawco (five saves), as 10th-ranked Collingswood ran its winning streak to five with a 3-0 victory at Audubon.

The Haddon Heights offense flowed through Frankie Rosati, who produced a goal and four assists in a 10-1 triumph over visiting Paulsboro. The Garnets received scoring from nine players, led by Rachel Strow's two goals.

Carolyn Clark and Cat Thomas each had a pair of goals as No. 5 Haddonfield peppered Lindenwold netminder Ashley Blevins (15 saves) en route to a 9-0 home win.

Tri-County. Rachel Ippolite teamed up with Alexa McIntyre to produce four goals and an assist in Kingsway's 5-1 win at Salem.
