Downingtown East tailback Drew Harris, a 4,000-yard career rusher, has committed to play for Virginia Tech.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pound senior chose the Hokies on Tuesday night over South Carolina, Miami, Arkansas, and Rutgers, among others. He had 10 written scholarship offers.

"He likes the type of offense [pro-set] they run," his father, Drew Harris, said. "He should be very happy there."

Harris, a three-year starter, will be joined at Virginia Tech by Downingtown East teammate Jack Willenbrock, a 6-foot-3, 260-pound offensive tackle.
