Wed. S.J. girls' roundup: Anstotz sets Audubon record

Megan Anstotz became Audubon's all-time leading goal scorer on Wednesday, producing a hat trick and an assist, as the Green Wave swept away visiting Paulsboro, 8-0, in Colonial Conference field hockey.

Anstotz has 54 goals, eclipsing the previous mark of 53 set by Danielle Stasulli in 2005.

Five players added a goal apiece in routing the Red Raiders, while goalie Miranda Mistalski was called on to stop one shot - a penalty stroke - to secure the shutout.

Morgan Driver posted a hat trick, Liz Schafer scored twice, and Francesca Rosati dealt four assists as host Haddon Heights overwhelmed Overbrook, 8-1.

Sydney Ponto picked up a goal and two assists, pacing West Deptford's balanced attack as the host Eagles stymied Sterling, 5-0. Despite suffering the loss, Silver Knights netminder Alexandra Yip was credited with 24 saves.

Catalina Thomas assisted on all three Haddonfield goals - two by Tara Black and one by Maddie Betley - guiding the Bulldogs to a 3-1 home win over Collingswood.

Olympic. Megan Tiernan had two goals and Shea McGee added two assists to carry host Washington Township past Bishop Eustace, 3-1.

Tri-County. Liz Mitten racked up two goals and two assists and Amber Sickler scored twice, powering host Woodstown past Pitman, 6-1. Panthers goalie Jen Hildebrand turned aside 19 shots to keep the score respectable.

Delsea, backed by Kelsey DiBenedetto's shutout goaltending, broke through for three second-half goals to pull out a 3-0 victory at Cumberland.

Second-half goals by Zenee Gadson and Rachel Toppi rallied host Glassboro past Gloucester, 2-1.

Danni Hall had a hat trick, Rachel Ippolite netted two goals and Alexa McIntyre contributed a goal and five assists in Kingsway's 10-0 win over visiting Highland.

Allison Reuter scored twice while Allyson Moore and Demetria Shipe each chipped in a goal and an assist in Clayton's 4-0 win at Penns Grove.

Burlington County. Host Riverside pounded Palmyra, 7-0, as Kimberly Snow and Nicole DiMiero combined for five goals and four assists.

Melissa Shine fed Nadirah Simmons for the go-ahead goal with 10 minutes, 33 seconds remaining in regulation, and host Burlington Township went on to nip Northern Burlington, 2-1.

Paige Macrae tapped in a shot with 2 seconds to go in the first half, and the goal proved the difference as host Moorestown held off Rancocas Valley, 4-3.
