A year-old boy was in critical condition Sunday at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children after apparently falling out of a car on Fox Street near Allegheny Avenue in Philadelphia and being run over.
Police said the driver of the car the child was in was turning left onto Fox Street Sunday when the left passenger door opened and the boy fell onto the street.
An SUV behind the car struck the boy, police said. The driver of the car in which the boy was a passenger took him to Temple University Hospital, and the child was later transferred to St. Christopher's. - Alan J. Heavens
