Dog day for Tiger

TIGER WOODS unintentionally stole the spotlight in the final round of the Frys.com Open in San Martin, Calif., yesterday.

Woods finished 10 shots behind Bryce Molder, who outlasted Briny Baird in a six-hole playoff after the pair finished regulation at 17-under 267. But Wood's round became memorable after a fan tossed a hot dog at him while he was putting on the seventh green. The bun barely reached the green. The hot dog landed on the putting surface.

"Some guy just came running on the green, and he had a hot dog, and evidently . . . I don't know how he tried to throw it, but I was kind of focusing on my putt when he started yelling," said Woods.

Santa Clara sheriff's deputies arrested the unidentified 31-year-old man for disturbing the peace and removed him from the property. He did not go to jail, police said, because it was a misdemeanor.
