  • Russell Simmons, cofounder of Def Jam Records, participated in a yoga session Monday at the Occupy Wall Street protest.

So is Celebritydom supporting Occupy Wall Street? Quite a few famed types have shown up in N.Y.C. since it all began in late September. And not just Noam Chomsky and Cornel West. Winehouse's dad to publish memoir

HarperCollins announced Monday that it has bought the rights to Amy, My Daughter, a memoir written by Mitch Winehouse, father of deceased English singer Amy Winehouse. He's been writing the book, on his burdened relationship with her, since her death July 23. "I feel that I need to write this book to tell the true story of Amy and to help with my personal recovery," he said. Proceeds go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which helps children and young adults facing problems arising from drug addictions. The book's release is scheduled for 2012.

He blushed and bowed back out. Gentleman.
