Nate Smith, a speedy wide receiver and defensive back, is set to become the sixth member of Archbishop Wood's senior class to make an oral commitment to a Division I-A football program.
Tuesday, in a 1:30 p.m. conference in the Warminster school's auditorium, the 6-foot, 190-pounder is expected to announce his decision to play for West Virginia, according to sources.
Smith, projected as a defensive back in college, also considered Temple, believed to be the runnerup for his services; Michigan State; South Carolina; and Toledo, among others.
