What you need to know about the Asylum Arena:
* Formerly called the New Alhambra Arena, the venue was once home to the South Philly Vikings mummers club.
* Parts of the film "Rocky Balboa" (a/k/a Rocky VI) were filmed there.
* Scenes from "The Wrestler," with Mickey Rourke, were filmed there. In one scene, a fan tosses his prosthetic leg to Randy the Ram, Rourke's character, who uses the leg to beat a guy.
* Has been named as "Guys Night Out" and "Sport Venue" in Best Of editions of "Philadelphia" magazine, and was named Boxing Venue of the Year by ESPN2 in 2006.
