Del Val, Widener, CNJ all get wins

Aaron Wilmer (George Washington High) threw four touchdown passes in the first half Saturday and linebacker Jim DiLisio (Father Judge) returned a pair of interceptions for scores as Delaware Valley remained unbeaten with a 54-13 victory over King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference game in Doylestown.

The Aggies, ranked ninth in American Football Coaches Association Division III poll, improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the MAC. King's fell to 1-5 and 1-4.

Delaware Valley will get a week before finishing the season against its two closest pursuers, Widener and Lycoming.

Widener 57, Lebanon Valley 33 - Cedrick Clayton (Cinnaminson) and Laquan Robinson (Chester) each scored a pair of touchdowns as the Pride (7-1, 5-1 MAC) beat the Dutchmen (5-2, 3-2) in Chester.

College of New Jersey 27, Montclair State 21 - Jay Donoghue (Seneca) passed for one TD and ran for another as the Lions (5-2, 4-2 New Jersey Athletic Conference) upset visiting Montclair State (6-1, 5-1). The Red Hawks entered the game ranked No. 7 in the Division III poll.

Bloomsburg 55, West Chester 42 - Matt Carroll (Unionville) was 14 for 22 for 200 yards but the Golden Rams (4-4, 3-2 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) wasted a 35-0 lead and fell to the Huskies (8-0, 5-0), who are ranked No. 2 in the NCAA Division II poll.

Host West Chester led, 35-0, only five minutes into the second quarter, but Bloomsburg rallied to score 55 straight points, finally going ahead on a 31-yard interception return for a touchdown by J.P. Patrick in the third quarter.

Franklin Quitah rushed 25 times for 190 yards and two TDs for the Huskies.

Ursinus 49, Susquehanna 19 - Nick Giarratano caught four passes for 153 yards and three TDs, including his school record 20th touchdown reception, as the Bears (5-2, 5-1 Centennial Conference) defeated the Crusaders (4-3, 3-3) in Selinsgrove, Pa. Chris Curran (Ocean City) was 18 for 31 for 300 yards and four TDs.

Franklin & Marshall 14, Moravian 7 - John Harrison (La Salle) threw his second TD pass of the game in the fourth quarter just after Lou Carothers (Williamstown) blocked a punt to lead the Diplomats (3-4, 3-3 Centennial) past the Greyhounds (1-6, 1-5) in Bethlehem, Pa.

Shippensburg 59, Cheyney 20 - Marcus Jones rushed eight times for 90 yards, including a 69-yard TD run, but the Wolves (1-7, 0-5 PSAC) fell to the visiting Raiders (4-4, 2-3).
