Northeast and defending champ Washington are set for a championship rematch after the Vikings beat Girls High, 3-0, and Washington defeated Franklin Towne Charter, 2-0, in the Public League playoff semifinal doubleheader at Germantown.
Erica Thompson scored two goals for Northeast and Isabelle Campanaro tied her sister, Francesca, for the team lead with her 12th of the season.
Washington got goals from Katie Carrero and Barbara Danhardt, plus six saves from goalie Montana Fritz.
District 1 Class AA. Jen Webb's third goal of the game was scored with 10 minutes left, boosting Gwynedd-Mercy past visiting Phoenixville, 3-2, in the quarterfinals.
Single goals off the sticks of Anna Duemier, Carrie Nyce and Sami Stalford sent Upper Perkiomen to a 3-1 win over visiting Merion Mercy.
Tennis
Cardinal O'Hara's Hayley Craskey and Lauren Degnan needed a tiebreaker to win the first set en route to the District 12 Class AAA doubles championship at the Arthur Ashe Center.
Craskey and Degnan beat Central's Alexandra Lawall and Lily Goldberg, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2, to earn a place in the PIAA state tournament.
Archbishop Ryan's Julianne Herman won the Class AAA singles title, Masterman's Katherine Lobodo took the Class AA singles trophy, and Lansdale Catholic's Emily Boyle and Mary Kate Selby won the AA doubles.
