5 Minutes With ... Richard Drayton III

Central wide receiver Richard Drayton III has continued his family tradition this season. The 6-1, 210-pound senior is the son of Rich Drayton, the former Central standout who is now the school's head coach. Known as "Tre" in the family, Drayton III is waiting until after the season to make a college commitment. This week, we sat down with the elite receiver:

Q: What kind of receiver do you consider yourself?

A: "I think I'm a possession receiver. I catch basically anything that gets thrown my way."

Q: Who's your favorite professional athlete?

A: "Michael Vick. He's not your average quarterback. He can scramble and throw the ball so that's what I like about him."

Q: Who's your favorite professional sports team?

A: "The Eagles because I'm just a hometown guy. I've liked the Eagles ever since I was little."

Q: What's your favorite TV show?

A: "My favorite show is 'Martin.' It's just funny overall, the way he makes fun of people."

Q: What's your favorite kind of food?

A: "Hamburgers, just because I like the taste."

Q: Do you have a favorite hobby?

A: "Basketball. I played that up until eighth grade."

Q: What's your favorite song to warm up to?

A; "I'm going to go with Meek Mill - 'Tony Montana.' It's just a hyped-up song, and it's loud."

Q: Who do you consider your greatest role model?

A: "My dad. I look up to him in every way. He was a great football player. He's a great person. There are a lot of people that look up to him, but I look up to him the most. He does a lot of things to help people."

Q: What's the best part of being a high school football player?

A: "I guess being in the paper a lot. I've been in there a lot this year."

Q: Where is your team is headed this season?

A: "I would like to say a championship, but I want to be humble."

Q: What's one thing people might not know about you?

A: "I didn't really like football too much until high school."
