There's a voice deep inside that tells you truths, hard, ugly truths you'd rather ignore.
That voice spoke to Kim Kardashian, 31, in the wake of her $10 mil wedding to NBA player Kris Humphries, Kim revealed Thursday on the Aussie TV show Sunrise. The Voice told her: Leave him.
"I think when you know so deep in your heart that you just have to listen to your intuition, and follow your heart," said Kim, who is Down Under to promote her new line of handbags.
Kim said she worked hard - so hard it tears your heart apart; so earnestly, it makes you weep - to save her ill-fated 72-day marriage.
Asked if the marriage was just a cynical PR ploy to make more money, Kim shut down.
"I think that's all I'm really going to say about the situation right now," she said, "and just kind of focus on why we're here in Australia."
Why? She's in-country on a PR mission to make more money. Or is she?
Perhaps smarting from her TV chat and the appearance that she's a heartless money-making machine, Kim made a sudden decision to fly back home after spending a day hawking product in Sydney. It means she'll have to forgo a tidy $153,000 fee for a one-hour appearance at a primo horse racing outing in Melbourne.
Kim's ma, Kris Jenner, on Thursday morning worked another PR angle, telling Good Morning America that Kris has no right to get his $2 mil engagement ring back. "I hate an Indian giver," she said. "It's a gift, you know." Ick.
Stanley Tucci costarred with Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada. Now, he's fixin' to become her brother-in-law. Us Weekly says Tucci, who turns 51 on Nov. 11, has become engaged to the Brit thesp's sister, Felicity Blunt.
