Kim said she worked hard - so hard it tears your heart apart; so earnestly, it makes you weep - to save her ill-fated 72-day marriage.
Asked if the marriage was just a cynical PR ploy to make more money, Kim shut down.
"I think that's all I'm really going to say about the situation right now," she said, "and just kind of focus on why we're here in Australia."
Why? She's in-country on a PR mission to make more money. Or is she?
Kim renounces $153,000 Aussie payout
Perhaps smarting from her TV chat and the appearance that she's a heartless money-making machine, Kim made a sudden decision to fly back home after spending a day hawking product in Sydney. It means she'll have to forgo a tidy $153,000 fee for a one-hour appearance at a primo horse racing outing in Melbourne.
Kim's ma, Kris Jenner, on Thursday morning worked another PR angle, telling Good Morning America that Kris has no right to get his $2 mil engagement ring back. "I hate an Indian giver," she said. "It's a gift, you know." Ick.

From 'Jersey Shore' to the Ivy League
Seems Vinny Guadagnino has a lot to teach the nation's most elite undergrads. Vinny, who excelled in the Ph.D. program in GTL (that'd be gym, tan, laundry) and Binge Drinking at MTV's finishing school, Jersey Shore, was a guest speaker Wednesday at a class on the sociology of deviance at Columbia University. TMZ says the lovable lunk spoke about being bullied as a kid and amiably answered a range of questions.
