TEMPLE running back Bernard Pierce did not fly home on the team charter following Wednesday night's 35-31 loss at Ohio University. He instead remained at an Athens hospital for several hours, along with team physician Dr. Ray Moyer and Dr. Moyer's wife, Page, after taking a hit to the head late in the game.
They returned to Philadelphia early yesterday afternoon.
Whether Pierce, who was already playing with a hamstring injury, will be ready to go for Wednesday night's home game against Miami of Ohio probably remains to be determined.
