The Moorestown field hockey team is back in familiar territory - and about to face a familiar foe.
Using a balanced attack and shutout goaltending by Laya Mallela, the second-seeded Quakers defeated No. 3 seed Allentown, 3-0, on Saturday in a NJSIAA Central Jersey Group 3 semifinal.
Jess Dadino, Mary Flick, and Alexa Massa had a goal apiece, and Sarah Powell and Kayla Pruitt each added an assist to help Moorestown qualify for its 14th consecutive sectional final.
The Quakers travel to top-seeded Wall Township on Tuesday, marking the fifth consecutive season the two teams will square off for the crown.
After Moorestown celebrated a 3-0 win in 2007, Wall Township won the last three meetings.
South Jersey Group 3. Ocean City's drive toward a fourth straight sectional title stayed alive after the top-seeded Red Raiders rolled over No. 4 seed Delsea, 5-0, in a dominant semifinal performance.
Shannon Lawson led the way with two goals and two assists, Jacquie Fenton scored twice, and Liz Cruz added a goal in support of goalie Roisin Dougherty.
Ocean City, which was awarded 22 penalty corners and peppered the Crusaders' cage with 36 shots, will host Kingsway in Tuesday's championship match.
Kingsway advanced with a 4-0 shutout of visiting Seneca, in which Rachel Ippolite scored twice in the second half and goalie Kelsey Dominik made 11 saves.
Central Jersey Group 2. Sophomore Krista LaMaina scored her 22d goal of the season, putting in a rebound off the goalie's pads with 20 minutes, 44 seconds to go in the first half, as Collingswood edged visiting Bishop Eustace, 1-0, in a taut semifinal battle.
Panthers netminder Alli Hawco stopped six shots in dealing Bishop Eustace its first shutout of the season.
Collingswood will host Tuesday's championship against Camden Catholic.
Camden Catholic upset top-seeded Manasquan, 2-1. Ali Murray gave the Irish an early lead and Danielle Frasca provided the game-winner, off a feed from Tara Vittese, with 7 minutes to play.
