Spotlight: Haddon Heights QB Nick Lundholm

Haddon Heights' hopes for a deep run in the South Jersey Group 1 tournament hang on a high-powered offense led by its strong-armed senior quarterback.

Haddon Heights (7-1), the No. 3 seed, has other weapons, especially junior running back Brandon Joyner. But Lundholm and his talented group of receivers might be the key to the team's plans to strike deep in the wide-open playoff field.

"I feel lucky to be a senior this year," Lundholm said. "We haven't had a record this good in a long time. Everybody is excited - players, fans, all of us."

Haddon Heights, averaging 32.2 points, will open the tournament Saturday at home against sixth-seeded Schalick (5-3).

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound Lundholm is 75-for-119 passing (63 percent) for 1,152 yards and 11 touchdowns. His top receivers are Kashon Bounds (29 catches, 448 yards, five touchdowns) and Dante Pinckney (14 catches, 192 yards, three touchdowns).

"We're throwing the ball more than we ever have, so it's a lot of fun," Lundholm said.
