Boland steps down as mat coach

Jerry Boland, who guided Camden Catholic to a state title in each of his three seasons as wrestling coach, is stepping down to serve as an assistant because of increased job responsibilities and the time spent raising a family.

Ryan McCormick, a 2004 Camden Catholic graduate and an assistant coach for the past five years, will serve a one-year term as head coach, according to the school. Camden Catholic is expected to be among the top five teams this season in South Jersey.
