STATE COLLEGE - Embattled wide receivers coach Mike McQueary will "not be in attendance'' at tomorrow's game against Nebraska, the school announced.
In a statement, Penn State cited "multiple threats" made against McQueary, and said it "would be in the best interest of all" for him not to attend.
McQueary told a grand jury he witnessed former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old boy in the shower at the team's football building in 2002 when he was a graduate assistant, and informed coach Joe Paterno. McQueary has become the latest figure of controversy surrounding the football program after the university was rocked by the child sex abuse scandal last weekend. Since Sandusky and two university officials were indicted by the state's Attorney General's office last Saturday, the Board fired Paterno and accepted the resignation of president Graham Spanier.
