Actor Larry Thomas, who played the Soup Nazi on "Seinfeld," will be in character from 1 to 7 p.m. tomorrow, serving soup and signing autographs at Doc's Soup Bar (169 W. Girard).

 

Swiren on screen

"Diff'rent Strokes" star Todd Bridges completed his role as shooting wrapped up here for the movie "Turning Point," written/directed by Niyi Towolawi. The film features local actor Randy Swiren playing a hotel manager. Swiren also recently played an attorney in "My Friends," written/directed by Kreshnik Seseri. The Broomall-based Swiren also spent a few days playing a mental patient in a "Silver Linings Playbook" scene with Bradley Cooper and Chris Tucker.

CHARITABLY MINDED 102.9 WMGK's John DeBella launches his annual Turkey Drop fundraiser Saturday with a kick-off event for the second annual Running of the Turkeys outside Kildare's (18 W. Gay), in West Chester. Participants in the race, which starts at 1 p.m., will run a mile while carrying a frozen turkey that is then donated to the needy. 900 WURD-AM has expanded Rob Redding's "Redding News Review" show to Monday through Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The show already airs Sundays from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Redding says he enjoys whipping partisans and idealogues of the "political plantation," with his program geared toward the black community.
