Rising QB. East's Kyle Lauletta, a junior and first-year starter, has thrown for 1,761 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Dangerous. Brian Donnelly, who directs C.R. South's wishbone attack, has carried 152 times for 1,172 yards and 20 TDs. He will play baseball at Rider.
Filling in. Without Virginia Tech recruit Drew Harris (knee injury), the Cougars have turned mostly to sophomore tailback Ryley Angeline, with help from junior fullback Wade Mastrog and others.
Supporting roles. In addition to Donnelly, C.R. South's other rushing threats include halfback Anthony Alimenti (nine carries for 68 yards vs. Upper Dublin) and fullback Ryan Whitely.
Pass-catchers. Lauletta's primary targets are junior wideout Jay Harris and senior tight end Ryan Bond.
Stalwart. Andrew Cohen, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound senior, has been an anchor on both sides of the line for the Golden Hawks.
Up front. East's defensive front four consists of ends Joe Wetty and Milton Ashburn Hearns, and tackles Elijah Griffin and Josh Ganzelli. Griffin started the season playing on the outside.
Switching up. In Week 3, C.R. South moved P.J. Gallo from defensive end to linebacker. He is expected to play tight end at Maryland.
Quotable I. Cougars coach Mike Matta on C.R. South's offense: "They're committed to running the football, and they're very good at it."
Quotable II. Golden Hawks coach Vince Bedesem on East's offense: "They're very balanced. They have a lot of weapons they can go to."
Pick: It's just a hunch, but we like the Cougars to pull off the upset. East, 26-21.
