HARRISBURG - Mayor Linda Thompson asked a court Tuesday to require Harrisburg's receiver to put her fiscal recovery plan into effect and leave the city's purse strings in his hands for only a year.
Gov. Corbett on Friday named public finance lawyer David Unkovic to take charge of the state's takeover of Harrisburg.
Thompson's requests to Commonwealth Court came in response to the petition filed by the Department of Community and Economic Development to make Unkovic the city's receiver, the Harrisburg Patriot-News reported. - AP
