A Frankford rowhouse erupted in gunfire Wednesday night when four men broke into the same house they had allegedly robbed three weeks earlier, police said.
This time, one of the residents was waiting with a shotgun. The occupant, whom police did not identify, killed two of the intruders and wounded the other two, who fled.
Medics pronounced two of the men dead shortly after 10 p.m. Their identities were not released.
The other two men turned up at hospitals later that night. One of them, 20, suffered shotgun wounds to a hand, a leg, and the buttocks and was reported in stable condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center. The other, 22, was shot in the abdomen and reported in critical condition at Frankford Hospital.
