The FBI is searching for a bank robber who wore a Phillies cap as he held up the Society Hill branch of Wells Fargo this morning.
The white male entered the branch at 340 South 2nd Street at about 10:30 a.m. and gave a teller a threatening demand note. The teller handed over an unknown amount of cash and the bandit fled east on Pine Street, police said.
The suspect is described as 5-foot-4, with a thin to medium build, and clean shaved. He wore a black jacket and a red Phillies ball cap. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI and Philadelphia Police Violent Crimes Task Force at 215-418-4000.
