Broad Street Diner at Broad and Ellsworth Streets returns Thursday, about five years after it went dark. New owner Michael Petrogiannis, whose diner collection includes the Melrose, Mayfair, Country Club, Warminster West, and Tiffany, will serve 24 hours.

Matt Moon, whose resumé includes Talula's Table in Kennett Square and briefly Talula's Garden, set up the new menu at Bishop's Collar in Fairmount. Sample: a braised short-rib sandwich with beer onions and blue cheese; turkey pot pie. His next stop is with Michael Schulson at Sampan as a sous chef, and then he'll join St. James Place, which Schulson and Rob Wasserman (Rouge) plan to open in the spring in Ardmore.
What's coming and going
The Italian spot From the Boot, which expanded several years ago from Lafayette Hill to downtown Ambler, has a third location pending: the former Dolce Luna at 1502 Dekalb St. in Blue Bell's Whitpain Shopping Center. Opening is due in four to six weeks.
The Cambridge is the name that Chris Fetfatzes and Heather Annechiarico of Hawthornes have attached to their next place, at 1508 South St., due in the spring. It's now the Tritone, which remains open as the liquor license is transferred. Fetfatzes describes the Cambridge as a neighborhood bar serving a homespun menu.
Made-to-order stir-fry bowls and salads from a 50-ingredient list, plus shakes, are the basis of honeygrow, a fast-casual eatery coming in spring to 16th and Ionic Streets in Center City, the spot at the Oakwood apartments that formerly was the Pita Pit. Entrepreneur Justin Rosenberg has enlisted DAS Architects to channel the sleek spirits of Momofuku and Chop't.
