City won't let victims of blaze get belongings By JAN RANSOM, ransomj@phillynews.com 215-854-5218 Daily News that they know of former tenants who out of desperation paid or pleaded with security, maintenance or other personnel to enter the building. A private security company has been monitoring the building, but it was unsecure for nearly five days from last Wednesday through Sunday. When All Purpose Security returned at the owners' request Sunday, they discovered a hole cut into a gate. Several people claiming to be tenants then fled the building, according to All Purpose's chief executive, Richard Oliveira. As for the cats that remain in the building, the PSPCA Sunday acquired a warrant to enter along with the nonprofit City Kitties. They were able to rescue Kate Kozonasky's second cat, Sadie, whom the Daily News wrote about Saturday. Another cat ran away from them, and the PSPCA left several traps behind in hopes of rescuing other cats. The investigation into the fire is ongoing, Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers said, and the cause of the fire remains undetermined. He added that investigators are looking into several issues mentioned by tenants, including electrical problems
