Police are seeking three men involved in the videotaped beating of an off-duty police officer Monday in front of Geno's Steaks in South Philadelphia, authorities said Wednesday.

The attack, which also involved a second victim, occurred about 7:15 p.m. outside the steak shop, on the 1200 block of South Ninth Street, after the Winter Classic hockey game between the Flyers and the New York Rangers at Citizens Bank Park.

The assailants were wearing Flyers jerseys, and the victims were wearing Rangers jerseys.

A police spokeswoman, Officer Tanya Little, said the officer was from out of town. A report in the Newark Star-Ledger said that the officer serves in the Woodbridge Township Police Department in North Jersey and that his injuries required stitches.

It identified the second victim as his son.

Woodbridge police declined to comment Wednesday night.

Philadelphia police released footage of the incident, which can be viewed at www.philly.com/fanbrawl
