DETROIT cornerback Aaron Berry found a new way to all but eliminate any chance of growing a personal fan base in the Motor City.

By dissing its socio-economic status.

Following the Lions' wild-card loss to New Orleans, Berry took to Twitter to vent his frustration - but directed it at the Lions' renewed and faithful supporters by posting: "Y'all can go back to being Broke & Miserable . . . now back to regular scheduled programming . . ."

Berry deleted the post and a subsequent apology but not before it made the rounds and fired up half of Detroit. According to a report in the Detroit Free Press, Berry did attempt to offer an explanation for his brain fart.

"I've got to use better judgment and hold my emotions in," Berry said. "But for people to grab it and make it economical now is just - wow. Everybody in this locker room and around this building and even y'all [the media] know the type of person I am. I would never do that, disrespect the city, the fans of Detroit, what they do to be loyal to us to stick around and be by our side even through the 0-16 season."

Except, you did disrespect all the aformentioned and quite affirmatively might we add.

Things not so tweet

Going to a strip club is well within your legal rights, but to allow pictures of you to be taken alongside a stripper wearing nothing but a bikini made out of measuring tape?

"Deadspin" released an image yesterday of Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson cozying up to an exotic dancer known as Molly aka "Milli," outside a Miami gentleman's club. "Deadspin" alleges that the picture was taken at around 6 a.m. yesterday morning, which makes us wonder how good are these girls if they can keep patrons "up" for that long.

At any rate, Milli under her Twitter handle @HeavenKODDiva tweeted, "Me and my boo Dashawn Jackson from the Eagles #10 WR" as photo caption.

Come on DJack, if she's going to make you her boo at least get her to spell your name correctly.
