One week after his sister came within a strike of perfection, freshman Nick Sarin picked up his family and the Washington Township bowling program by rolling his first career 300 game, leading the Minutemen to a 4-0 sweep of St. Augustine on Thursday in a nonleague boys' match at the Glassboro Bowl and Rec Center.

According to Washington Township coach Michael Hudock, Sarin wasn't inserted into the varsity lineup until the third match of the season. But the ninth-grader posted a 641 series in his debut and has been a fixture ever since - leading the Olympic Conference American Division with a 211 average and his previous-best 278 game.

"It was fun to watch him, he was outstanding," said Hudock, who has had two other boys bowl 300 games during his six-year tenure.

"Nick is a hard-working kid, a very coachable kid and he's a natural athlete in other sports," the coach continued. "It was good to see for his family, too, because his sister took a perfect game into the 10th frame for us last week and finished with a 277."

Nicolette Sarin is a senior captain of the Minutemaids, and leads the division in high game, high series and average.

Nick Sarin opened with his perfect game and followed up with a 232 and a 241 for a match-best 773.
