All About Lacrosse

   The U.S. Lacrosse national convention is scheduled to be held at the Convention Center from Friday through Sunday.

   The convention is billed as the largest professional development and networking event in the lacrosse world. Walk-up registration at the convention center will be available for $150.

   Former Eagles defensive back and NFL head coach Herm Edwards is set to deliver the convention's keynote address at 7 p.m. on Friday. Four-time Super Bowl referee Jerry Markbreit is scheduled to speak at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

   The fan fest at the convention center is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. It will feature demonstrations and autographs by players from the U.S. national teams and the Wings and 140 vendors with lacrosse gear, equipment, apparel, and services.

   Tickets are $10 at the convention center and $5 for players wearing lacrosse jerseys. More information is at uslacrosse.org/2012fanfest.

    On Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., Wings players Max Seibald, Ned Crotty, Matt Danowski, and Steve Fryer will participate in an indoor demo on Life Turf Field.

   From 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. there will be an autograph session with Wings players Dan Dawson and Brodie Merrill.
