Two Delaware County residents have become the first Pennsylvanians convicted under a 2007 state human trafficking law after pleading guilty to the charge, the district attorney's office announced Tuesday.

In addition, Deryck Alston, 41, pleaded guilty to unlawful contact with a minor and, Amanda Scott, 26, pleaded to corruption of minors and prostitution. Both reside in Collingdale.

A third person, Jerome Clemons, 35, of Collingdale was also charged in connection to the case. He pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution.

The three were arrested after a youth advocacy group notified police in September of an advertisement on a personals website featuring underage girls in suggestive position with the wording "We Can Give You What U Need !! $50 Dollar Sunday Special," according to court documents.

Undercover officers contacted the phone number on the advertisement and met with Scott. She identified Alston as her pimp and said Clemons took the photos.

The underage girl in the photos was located. She told detectives Alston was her pimp and if she disobeyed him, he would put his hand on her, according to court documents.

Alston was sentenced to 18 to 60 months in prison and 10 years of probation, Scott received up to two years in prison and five years probation. Clemons was sentenced to three to 23 months in prison with four years probation.
