A LOT OF PRAYERS were answered when Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow was bounced from the playoffs on Saturday.

But, just when you thought you had seen the last of the Mile High Messiah this season, comes a report from USA Today that CBS has asked him to join its broadcast team as an analyst for Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

"We've had conversations with his people," CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus told the newspaper. "We have a request in. We haven't heard back."

According to the report, Tebow is expected to give CBS an answer soon.

If he agrees, he'll team up with Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason for the broadcast of the Baltimore Ravens at New England game.

If nothing else, Tebow has an insider's view of the Patriots' defense. At one point during Saturday's 45-10 loss, fans wondered whether the Patriots' Tom Brady would have more touchdown passes than Tebow had completions.

Brady finished with six TDs. Tebow was 9-for-26 for 136 yards with no touchdowns.

Despite that, Broncos boss John Elway yesterday said Tebow already has been anointed the starter going into next season's training camp.

According to the Associated Press, 24 of 47 questions at the news conference centered around you know who.

Tebowmania lives on.

Hey big spender

By now, Peter Serafin is getting used to sleeping on the couch.

Called a "Wall Street fat cat" by the New York Post, Serafin, a huge Green Bay fan who works in New York, skipped his 28th wedding anniversary to attend the Giants-Packers playoff game in Green Bay.

The 57-year-old Serafin spent $240,000 on the road trip for himself and five friends. According to the Post, they traveled first class in a luxury RV. Along the way, they consumed 26 bottles of champagne and 26 Kobe beef burgers, which were cooked by a chef and served by two waitresses.

To top it off, his beloved Packers lost the game.

We would have loved to have been there when he returned and said, "Honey, I'm home."
