Wed. Pa. boys’ roundup: Souderton pins Quakertown

Souderton rattled off five straight pins from 152 pounds to 195 pounds as it cruised at Suburban One wrestling opponent Quakertown, 42-30, on Wednesday night.

Ryan Eisenhart started the streak with a 3-minute, 12-second pin of Ryan Breithoff.

Catholic. Bobby Ende needed just 45 seconds to record a pin at 145 pounds as St. Joseph's Prep breezed at Conwell-Egan, 56-21.

Bicentennial. Heavyweight Andrew DeRocini scored a 3-2 decision over Scott Pendell as Lower Moreland topped visiting Delco Christian, 66-6. The Knights forfeited seven matches.

Giovanni Esquilin needed just 59 seconds to take down Tyler Zelina at 220 pounds as Bristol easily downed host Plumstead Christian, 42-24.

Friends Schools. Christian Blair recorded a first-period pin at 195 pounds as Academy of the New Church edged visiting Friends' Central, 42-39. The Lions recorded three first-period pins.

Pioneer. Boyertown won eight of its first nine matches as the Bears easily took down visiting Pottsgrove, 49-16. Ty Austin Miller scored a 3-2 decision at 126 pounds to win the third match of the night.

Spring-Ford won the match's last seven bouts as it rolled at Perkiomen Valley, 53-15. Chase Brown recorded a pin in 3:03 at 113 pounds.

Suburban One. Hatboro-Horsham won three of the four upper-weight classes as it turned back visiting Pennridge, 39-36. Lex Ludlow scored a 14-second pin at heavyweight.

Council Rock North ripped off eight straight wins from 132 pounds to 182 pounds as it rocked visiting Pennsbury, 46-12. Brendon Poff capped the streak with a close 5-4 decision.

Heavyweight Tommy Trampe scored a pin in 4:16 to clinch Council Rock South's 39-33 win over visiting Abington. The Golden Hawks rallied to win after Abington won seven straight bouts midway through the match.

Dominic DeLaurentis scored a pin in 3:39 at 138 pounds as Upper Moreland knocked off visiting Wissahickon, 44-21.

Del-Val. With a razor-thin margin, Dan Sullivan scored a 7-6 decision over Khalid Lewis at 152 pounds to help Chichester knock off visiting Penn Wood, 43-27.

Senior Dave Forte improved to 22-0 with a 8-4 decision at 145 pounds as Glen Mills downed host Interboro, 42-33.

Ches-Mont. Great Valley won the five lowest weight classes as it rolled at Oxford, 58-16. Johnny Carnes scored a pin in 1:17 at 132 pounds to aid the win.
