Julian Kaminoff, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound safety for New Hope-Solebury, has committed to play for the University of Buffalo.

The senior, who also played running back and returned kicks for the Lions, has been clocked at 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash. His vertical leap was measured at 38 inches.

For New Hope-Solebury, a Class AA program, Kaminoff was one of only 32 players last season.

"He's got a special talent," Lions coach Jim DiTulio said. "I might not see a player like him again at this school for a long, long time. Maybe never."

Kelly to Penn. Harriton's Ryan Kelly, a 6-4, 215-pound senior tight end and Inquirer second-team all-Southeastern Pennsylvania pick, will continue his career at Penn.

In 11 games last season, Kelly, who doubled at linebacker for the Rams, caught 40 passes for 571 yards and nine touchdowns. He plans to attend Penn's Wharton School of Business.

Pair headed south. Unionville defensive back Richard Sampson and Monsignor Bonner offensive lineman Dom DiGalbo are headed for Coastal Carolina.

Last season, the 6-2, 195-pound Sampson, a second-team all-area pick, carried 219 times for 1,554 yards and 22 TDs.

DiGalbo, a 6-4, 270-pound center, earned second-team all-Catholic League Class AAA honors after helping the Friars to a 6-5 mark. He transferred in last year from West Catholic.
